Sounds more like R.I.P. At least as far as Howard's relevance goes.

maybe they are catching on that Howard turns off viewers so they are downplaying him. Maybe they will edit out more and more of his remarks on the show.

Even better. I hope Howard's happy that the legacy he leaves behind is that of a 60 year old obviously wigged imbecile making a complete fool of himself on a 3rd rate talent show who left his wife and kids for a vapid blonde trophy wife 20 years younger than him.

Hmm...that's really odd. Is it possible that Don & Howard only agreed to a certain number of ads in the contract????

...they may have but they have clips and own the rights to show his pics I'm guessing. I hope someone else sees it. It was like a 30 second spot, I looked up to see Howard and he wasn't there. Didn't seem right or give a good impression.

I saw this commercial today too, but I thought Howard was in it. Maybe not. But it was clear they weren't trying to sell the "Howard Stern" aspect of the show anymore.

"You know Robin I suggested to the editors that I be removed from the ad because of the rumors of Sharon and Howie getting upset over me being so popular on the show."

Remember when Sirius first started broadcasting on the internet (free to satellite subscribers) and it had all the channels except 100 & 101? It took about 6 months to iron something out and then suprise surprise, they started charging extra for the internet subscription. Howard will get his marbles and he doesn't care if he takes down his own company to do it.

That's interesting, these numbnut at the major networks don't do anything without a purpose (either good or bad), the numbers are in and the "downplaying" of Howard is in full effect.

I guess I didn't think about it at the time, but it is kinda weird. I wonder if this was part of the plan to begin with, that is, hype the shit out of Howard in the beginning (during sweeps and the finales of other shows) and then back off and try to sell the show on it's own merits once the competition dies down or if the execs decided Howard was tanking the show and they wanted to downplay his presence in the commercials. It would be interesting to see if in upcoming episodes they decide to cut out all his bullshit of going on stage and dancing around with people and hugging everyone.
