    I hope they combine the third and forth book in to one season, because the forth is a challenge to read. Nothing relevant really happens.

    This season covers most of the third book. The fourth season will cover the end of the third book plus the beginnings of both books four and five. Remember that books four and five actually run concurrently. They were originally written as one book but George Martin had to split them because his publisher forced him to meet the deadline (that deadline being 'one book per decade' practically).

    If people think that the first two seasons had major cliffhangers they are going to piss and shit themselves after episodes nine and ten. I can't wait to read the message boards after this season.

    if this season is only half of book 3, do they stop at the red wedding? or even before that? they gotta drag out the last good book before it all goes to shit in 4 and 5.

    I don't know, but from the way people who have read the book are reacting, it has to be huge.
    I'm thinking someone huge is going to die. I'm also sort of concerned that more than one character is going to die...and I'm terrified that Arya is going to croak. Bran was shoved out a window for Christ sake, so I know kids are definitely not out of bounds for the show.
