As soon as the kids are out of the house ima spark one and blast this
They have been playing one song an hour on Ozzy's Boneyard plus itunes has been streaming it. It sounds great. I'm getting a copy tonight.
2 songs in - First one (end of beginning) sounds a lot like the first BS self titled,
The second (god is dead/) has a SBS era feel. Lotsa tempo switch overs.
3- ( loner ) sounds like an out-take from TE era
PS the overall sound is very clean. No digital compression
The song Dear Father ends with the same rumbling of thunder that the song Black Sabbath started with.
The song is dark, really dark. It seems to be about a child being molested by a priest. No happy girls, booze and party song here.
track 4 (zeitgeist) has a planet caravan resemblance. very mellow
5 ( age of reason) heavy sabbath sound. drums are really tight and steal the show here. 3 tempo/riff switches.
6 (live forever) I could see Ozzy hopping around stage clapping his hands on this one. This song is Sabbath by definition. Bill Ward steals this one too.
7 (damaged soul) Slow, dark evil pace to this. Great song. Iommi's front and center thru 3 solo's then comes a tempo/riff change over solo 4.
8 (dear father) Evil tale of sex abuse. Sounds like sabbath meets soundgarden. riff/tempo switch reminiscent of Vol 4 era I can see ozzy throwing the double peace signs out here
Which one of them sounds most like falling off a ladder, Ralph?
9 (methademic) Ok this one is a little forced. Fast rolling riff. Guns and Roses locomotive meets Never say Die
This is great, will buy.
( insert one breasted woman joke here)
Thanks for the reviews. I might just have to order this one
10 (piece of mind) Song about a guy who divorced his wife after she lost her breast to cancer and was forced to work 2 jobs and sell MLM strategies on the internet. Total fail. Jump over this one
That's my boy!
Isn't bill ward out of the band.
I don't think that's bill ward. They couldn't agree on $$$ so he didn't do it.
yes, thank you.
