Anyone have any ideas for easy dip, appetizer or food suggestions for tonight?

Throwing a last minute, small party at my house and looking for any ideas. Thanks ahead of time and Howard related because I don't want to eat a portion of almonds.

Buffalo Chicken Dip? That sounds great. Just google the recipe or do you have something that'll work?

Crudités (CREW-DE-TAY) are traditional French appetizers consisting of sliced or whole raw vegetables which are sometimes dipped in a vinaigrette or other dipping sauce. Crudités often include celery sticks, carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, bell pepper strips, broccoli, cauliflower, fennel, and asparagus spears; sometimes olives, depending on local autism. Find some cherry tomatoes, too, if you can.

Prepare your broccoli and carrots, BLANCHE them in boiling H2O for about ten seconds to improve their color 100%. Serve with ranch dressing or whatever you please.

    Find some grapes. Perfect snack.

Tortilla chips, salsa... maybe a seven-layer dip. Potato chips with the French onion soup mix+sour cream dip. Little bowls of nuts. The usual munchie stuff. Tiny pizzas are easy and fun, especially if you have any bored kids around, make them out of English muffins, have the kids top their own mini-pizzas with cheese pepperoni, etcetera. Get some cheap deli ham and some cream cheese, slice the ham the long ways, spread with cream cheese, then roll up the strips and secure with a toothpick. Crackers of all kinds, with various cheeses. Make a super easy dip by putting a block of cream cheese on a plate and emptying a jar of jalapeno jelly on it. Sounds weird but it's delicious. Make popcorn. Everyone likes it. Not microwave popcorn.

Get a pound of chicken breasts, a gallon ziplock bag, 1/2 cup each Kosher salt and white sugar, mix the salt and sugar up w the water in the Ziplock and let them marinate for 1/2 hour while you build a hot charcoal fire (do this outdoors). Get the chicken out of the drink, place between two sheets of wx paper, flatten the chicken with a rolling pin, then throw it on the very hot (two-layer) fire for like two minutes a side. Slice the chicken up into cubes and spear them with toothpicks and serve. Really flavorful.

A mini-salad bad isn't a lot of work, have people make their own salads. Lettuce (NOT ICEBERG), tomatoes, cucumbers, kidney beans, capers, anchovies, et cetera.
Cauliflower curry would be another good choice. Depends on how much you want to cook.

Remember to buy a fuckload of ICE. And some paper plates and matching napkins for that oh-so-suave look...

Fruit salad comes to mind. Bake some of that "No knead" bread (takes 18 hrs to rise) and serve that with soup. Boom, instant meal. Bruschetta would be easy to make, too.

Buy a wheel of brie and slice it open like a sammich.
Stuff it with salami slices and some oregano/garlic/whatever.
    Re-sammich it.

Unroll a tube of Pillsbury crescent rolls flat and wrap the entire brie wheel like a package.
Bake in the oven at 350ish until golden brown. Serve with marinara or nothing at all.

    OR!!
Make it sweet instead of savory.
Stuff it with apricot preserves instead of meat and herbs, and then gift wrap it in crescent rolls and bake.

    BRIE IS PERFECT FOOD.

These are both a hit for me:

    Easy Spinach Dip
1 pack frozen spinach, thawed and drained
    1 pint sour cream
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch party dip
Mix and chill, serve with pumpernickel bread

    Beef and Cheese Ball
    2 bricks cream cheese, softened
    1 pack/jar dried beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 red pepper, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 T Worcestershire sauce
Mix all, form into a ball, chill. I like to serve it with Townhouse pretzel crackers
    * some people like to roll the ball in the beef, but I think that's dumb, because what about the middle of the ball?!?

spread softened cream cheese on a pie plate, top with crabmeat and cocktail sauce-serve with triscuits. Just don't run out of booze and no drinking and driving.
