Sorta like going for the shocker when you haven't even held her hand yet.
Heard this on the way home.It needs to happen.
If it goes thru every apt in NYC will be growing those 8 plants
Never even been to NY, but I really hope this happens.
Not a pothead either, but the laws are beyond stupid.
i hope ops it goes thru too. We don't have nearly enough carpenters around here.
Now if only MN would get off its ass and do something similar. We'll let the queers marry here but not let people smoke some pot legally.
They might as well change the laws here. Lately it is totally normal to be on a train platform while the couple next to me is making clouds from a vape. Nobody looks twice, not even the cops.
At least News 12 got the temperature right, it's 24 outside.
Fuck yeah...couple articles from today.
"Marijuana would be taxed at $50 an ounce. 80% of the ensuing revenue would go to the state's general fund."
"We have close to a million people who use it on a regular basis. It's a market of 1.65 billion here in New York City every year, so it makes sense."
Get it done....BTW...Uruguay became a lot cooler recently.
I don't live in NY, but I just got baked to show support.
Right??? How the fuck does that pass so easily but everyone hates pot!!
I voted on gay marriage, let me vote on pot!! I want my voice heard!!!
A $50 an ounce tax?
Seems odd legislation to have ages (18-20) where you can possess and consume but not buy. Never knew any state where booze laws work that way.
"In NYC an eighth of an ounce of reasonably good weed typically costs $50." http://www.capitalnewyork.com/artic...king-champion-marijuana-legalization-new-york...about the same I paid tonight in Minneapolis. I'm not exactly sure either, my guess is it would be $4 tax on an eighth.
NYC recently made 21 the legal age to purchase cigarettes but all ages can smoke them though.
That's just not true. The author is flat wrong there.
Out here in Colorado an ounce in a dispensery is $90-150.
a friend just moved to Colorado partly to grow pot. He's a farmer. The stores - I've been told - will open Jan 1st.
I've never used any drugs but it's about time people stop criminalizing drug use.
Worst part about being upstate is not being in the MSP area to have easier options to get myself some pot.
