Which do you prefer?
I'm saying it now, anyone who votes soccer is gay and faggot.
I voted Soccer shitlips!
I prefer NFL but once you start noticing how little time is spent actually playing the game during the 3 hours its on tv, it gets hard to watch
Soccer is a gigantic bore.
90 mins of running around and 0-0 tie? No thanks.
I grew up playing both and watching both religiously. Over the last 10 years, I have grown to the point where I cant be bothered to watch an NFL game. The pace is ponderous and the quality is generally low. I watch maybe one NFL game a week, but will watch 3-5 soccer games. The good news is that a soccer game is over in 90 minutes and so I am done by 1000am.
I'm a huge fan of both, but Futbol is my favorite if it comes down to 1 or the other.
I never watched soccer until a couple of years ago and now it is by far my favorite sport to watch.
I'll still watch the NFL but with a far different perspective than before I started watching soccer.
In soccer, the clock never stops. You know unless there is a bizarre incident that significantly delays play, you know the game will take about 2 hours.
In the NFL, the game has so many delays for replays, commercials, etc. a game can drag on to 3 and a half hours easily.
I once had to DVR a game because I was working, when I went to watch it and fast forwarded through all of the stoppages, etc. it took me less than a hour to watch!
Replay has ruined the NFL, especially when they still don't get the calls right. Can someone explain to me what is a catch in the NFL and what isn't? Even the league doesn't seem to know.
Two weekends ago I saw two identical catches and one was ruled incomplete and the other was a fumble. And the reviews drag on and on.
The only thing soccer is using replay for right is whether or not it was a goal and the technology is so good, it takes about 30 seconds to get a definitive answer.
There's talk about using replay for offside calls but I hope it doesn't pass.
Are there boring soccer games sometimes? Yup. But I've also seen some terrible 10-3 NFL games. It happens.
I watched a 0-0 game last year which could have been one of the better soccer games I've ever seen.
It's the quality of play and excitement level in each sport which means far more than the score.
The way the European leagues are designed with a tier system makes just about every game important.
Every year the bottom three teams in the BPL are relegated to the next level league. This means that teams near the bottom of the standings often have critical games all the way to the end of the season.
This makes for really exciting games regardless of who wins the championship. Also, there's the battle for the top four teams who qualify for Champions League play as well as the 5th and 6th place teams who qualify for the EUoro league.
In the NFL, all you really have is the battle for the top draft pick among the teams at the bottom of the standings. Imagine if they had to play to stay in the league?
I enjoy both sports, but I far prefer my Saturday and Sunday mornings watching BPL vs. the long and tedious Sunday afternoons / evenings watching the NFL.
I didn't know there were billions of homosexuals in the world.
Thanks for that revelation...
The arrogance of some Americans who can't appreciate different sports is one of the reasons the world thinks we're not the sharpest knives in the drawer.
This says it all about soccer
Soccer blows. Only good part about it is it keeps migrant workers from stealing and raping on Sunday afternoons in the summer.
I just can't get into soccer one bit. It is painful to watch in my opinion.
Yeah, I'd much rather watch guys in tights fake fighting...
That's not gay at all.
This guy gets it.
A bad soccer game is absolutely awful to watch, but there's not a sport in the world that's greater than a good soccer game.
Greatest upset in sports history.
Not just one game, a full season which lasted almost 10 months!
