I got 4th row seats to the VA Beach show, may end up in Charlotte also since im off that week. Im the opposite of you big, Soundgarden fan. I liked NIN in the 90's but I got a feeling Ill be leaving these shows early or seeking Kim Thayils autograph while NIN are onstage. Soundgarden will be without Matt Cameron which kinda bums me out, I wished he would cut Pearl Jam loose, PJ fans seem to want Jack Irons back anyway.

There are quite a few members here going to this tour.

Sadly, no. But I did see NIN live for the second time in February. They were amazing!

Seen both of them tons of times back in the day.

No intention of going to see this show in an Ampitheater, which is where they are playing out here.

They have no business touring together. While I was a huge fan of both, they can't be any more dissimilar to me.

They have to have similar styles to tour together?

One is Industrial and the other was Grunge. I guess they're both rock, but again, looking back, I guess there was crossover appeal, but I really think that the fan BASE was very different. I dunno.

I used to love the festivals with all different types of music. I was usually very high though. Most of it probably sucked.

Woo hoo! Row 6 here right in the middle at Red Rocks, will be my first show there!

So NIN is playing 2nd? I wasn't sure. Everything i have seen says NIN and Soundgarden. So i was thinking Soundgarden would go on second. I read were trent sees this as a co headline type of thing, he said the same thing on the NIN Janes Addiction tour a few years back. A tour i thought NIN would close and they ended up being first on.

During one of the recent press interviews Kim Thayil said NIN's stage production is so big that it just makes more sense for NIN to go on last. He said it would be too long of a wait for fans if they had to break that stage down before SG could go on. I just hope they get a proper set in and its not cut short.

Oh man, I am actually thrilled to hear this. NIN has had some of the best stage and lighting shows i have seen, and to be fair i missed what a lot of folks would have called the best production... THe lights in the sky tour.

I ust hope row six isnt to close to fully appreciate it! Again i am going to see them at Red Rocks in colorado and have never been there. Anyone else been there and can give insights? It looks like the seats rise at a rather steep angle.

I forgot about this thread. I scored a poster in VA Beach signed by both bands!!

Im probably the biggest Soundgarden fan on this board but I gotta say that was the most sanitized Soundgarden show Ive ever been to. Radio hits set list that they seemed to stick to for the whole tour. NIN kicked ass though, it was my first time seeing them.
