There's four months left on his Sirius contract and no Stern announcement. Very curious.

Every time he's renewed his contract in the past he announced it as soon as the ink was dry.

He was promoting Sirius for well past the last six months on terrestrial. And he had a huge concert to celebrate.

Now he's got little time left on his contract at Sirius. He hasn't announced he's retiring - if he were he'd have a party for people to kiss his ass.

And he got fired from AGT - with a bunch of live shows left - where he could be promoting his next gig - but not a word. What gives? He doesn't sound even the least bit excited about a new phase of his career. Sounds like there is no next gig

My guess is negotiations are still going on at Sirius - Sirius has given a looooow ball offer and isn't budging. And Buckwald is pulling out all the stops to move the needle on the money.

If Stern stops working the whole Buckwald empire will depend on jugglers and ventriloquists.

Anyone agree or have a different take on the non-announcement?

I'm hoping he has finally figured out that its time to call it quits. With the shit he puts out these days I can't see it going much further.

He announced his Sirius move around October 2004. But didn't he announce his Sirius renewal the time that Sal cried close to the last minute?

Buchwald is one hell of an agent. Yeah I said it. But even he can't conjure up a deal that would satisfy the greedy, financially overly-saturated Stern. The talent has dried up. The audience has spoken because I refuse to believe there are enough sycophants "around" to justify a similar contract with Sirius.

It'll be interesting to say the least if we can get an inside scoop once everything goes down.

Yeah, I think that was in December.
I remember Robin being pissed because she wanted to move on to bigger and better career opportunities. :giggle:

I don't recall when th Sal event happened - but that WAS funny - remember when the HSS was funny?

It would be even funnier this time if everyone got new jobs lined up except Sal - because he thought it was another joke - and the show did end.

The guys still on the Sirius payroll for the HSS will be up shits creek (with the HowardTV and 101News Team) when Stern walks away.

Sirius really has the upper-hand right now. AGT couldn't have dropped him at a worst time.

I bet the deal is done and he won't announce it until just before winter break, just like last time. The AGT failure, made him unsellable to TV, so he has little bargaining position. For far less money he'd take fewer shows, broadcasting from Florida, summer hiatus and the ability to broadcast video of his tedious interviews on some Whalerock platform.

howard is going to live the life of larry david on curb.

putzing around all day, taking pointless meetings in restaurants, participating in a joint venture of a restaurant that will go out of business and a relationship with his wife with zero sexual chemistry

He always drags it out until right before Xmas vacation. If he was leaving he would be doing some kind of bullshit 6 month long last year party with the same C listers coming into to claim he is the King of All Media.

He has ZERO offers unless Sirius gave him a lowball one. Wiggy claimed again this week he's been offered a movie role. What a joke! AGT showed people just how unpopular and irrelevant he really is, no one is looking to hire that washed-up douchebag.

I would love to be in the room of high-powered Sirius executives when Buchwald coolly walks in without saying a word, dressed like a million-dollar shark, declines a seat, and, all eyes on him, confidently pulls from his briefcase a $200 million dollar contract proposal and a Webby Award.
