Ok - here's a real nerdy question.... If you're familiar with the Dark Knight comic series - you know that Green Arrow plays a critical role in the battle between Superman and Batman. Also, Green Arrow is a very interesting/colorful character in that comic - especially in the way Superman has limited Green Arrow's capabilities (he causes Green Arrow to lose an arm). The Dawn of Justice film is supposed to be based on the Dark Knight Falls comic book by Frank Miller (find it and read it) - where Superman battles Batman to the death. This is verified by the teaser from Comic Con - the outfit worn by Batman is the "armor" he wears to battle Superman in the story. With all the hoo-ha from Comic Con this week, there has been no mention of Green Arrow in the new Batman vs. Superman movie (Dawn of Justice). Has anyone heard of the Green Arrow being in this movie? I know this is a bit away from HS - but I figure people may appreciate something different than talking about Stern's wig and Beefus' ugliness.
Correct. They've consistently said the "feel" and "tone" will be similar but not the plot. Goyer said that the film will deal with the repercussions of the MOS ending. I'm guessing that means Bats comes after Supe for all of the people he killed while destroying 2 cities. A better plot would have been something like Superman/Batman: Public Enemies - with the government hiring supervillains (instead of the JLA) to crack down on the heroes as retaliation for all the damage.
Dawn of Justice was never going to based on The Dark Knight. They are taking some elements of The Dark Knight (Batman being older and jaded and potentially the Batsuit and Kryptonite elements from the final battle in the book), but it has nothing to do with the story.
ehhh, I guess that's a good enough reason, but I'm not sure how much it will resonate with the audience. I didn't think MOS was particularly memorable.
I'm never going to see this movie and im not a fan of either of these superheroes and I've never read any of those comics. Who won the fight in them? I would assume superman because he can use his heat vision and fry batman from really far away or just go back in time and kill batman while he's sleeping or taking a bath or something. Who wins?
Superman is just too powerful. Only Kryptonite and magic can harm him? Too limiting. I think it was Kevin Smith who suggested rebooting and setting it in the 1930s when Superman originated. No heat vision, no x-ray vision, no super-cold breath. Bullets still bounce off, but a tank round can knock him back a bit. He really has to exert to stop a locomotive, etc.
Stephen Amell has been playing mind games on Twitter and other media outlets about his role in the upcoming film. While is has all but been denied by all parties involved that means absolutely nothing at this point and to be honest if I had to make a guess I'd say there is a billion percent chance he will be in Justice League and make a cameo of some sort in Dawn of Justice..........
Arrow is actually a good show. It's respectable so that means it has no business near this god-awful-so-far project.
I absolutely agree but if I was Stephen I'd make sure I'm the one who plays Arrow in the movies so they dont fuck that up as well, like Bale did turning down the project.
