An Ohio grand jury has decided not to return an indictment in the 2014 police shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, prosecutor Tim McGinty said Monday.
Rice was holding a pellet gun when he was shot. It was "reasonable" to believe that the officer who killed the boy was facing a threat, McGinty said.

The officer was in training outside a Cleveland recreation center in November 2014. The shooting sparked controversy given Tamir's age and the fact that he had a gun that resembled a handgun.

Any parent that lets a kid out of their sight with a pistol should be indicted. What in the hell did they think a cop might do?

The cop should be shot in the head. He was previously fired because he started crying at the shooting range and his boss said he should never be allowed to carry a firearm or ever be a cop, cleveland hires him, he goes looking for someone possibly with a gun, he drives right up to the kid opens his door and immediately murders him without shouting anything or accesing the danger.

Once again I remind you the prosecutor Tim McGinty has a connection to Howard Stern.

    http://clevelandmagazine.com/ME2/di...19&tier=4&id=6AED4069176E412B99A4103FA9B9FAA4

"JUDGE V. STERN As a judge, McGinty survived a public feud with radio shock jock Howard Stern. In 1994, Stern's live broadcast from a Flats bar was interrupted by an engineer from rival WMMS, who cut a cable. McGinty sentenced the engineer to 10 days in jail and called Stern a "crude and obscene rabble-rouser." An enraged Stern endorsed McGinty's next challenger and gave him national airtime. McGinty won the election and sent Stern roses, candy and a note that read, "Thank you for all your help.""

Just another case of a great cop doing 100% the right thing. the gun should have had bright colors on it. This kid's parents should blame themselves for this tragedy.

There's nothing to loot in Cleveland so it should be pretty low-key.

Good call by the grand jury. Arguments can certainly be made that mistakes were made. Not a crime tho. Bring on the "peaceful protests".
