Hollywood delayed a few movie openings while they whined about gun violence after the Connecticut carnage.
Now they are running commercials for movies starring,Arnold Schwarzenegger,Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham highlighting and celebrating amazing gun violence....:jj:

Time Warner wants to ban gun violence in commercials for movie but will continue to show violent gun-fun in movies....while the Hollywood douche bags campaign and make amazing youtube videos to disarm the public.....:jj:

Why just semi-autos? What about fully automatic machine guns, revolvers, pump shotguns and bolt action sniper rifles? What a stupid, knee-jerk response.

Anti-gun people think that semi-automatic weapons are the same as automatic weapons.

    I always forget that.

I think I understand what this is about. There are gun related shows on The Outdoor Channel and those shows rely on sponsors. Many of those sponsors are gun manufacturers. Depriving them of the sponsors will force the shows to be dropped from the channel. So it's Time Warner's way of getting rid of gun related programming without banning specific shows. Clever clever.

I doubt it'll work though. They'll just pick up advertisers who are selling revolvers, hunting rifles/shotguns and other gun related products. The shows themselves are basically ads for new guns anyway...so, for example, Smith and Wesson will buy ad space for it's Bodyguard revolver and the show itself will feature their S&W M&P AR15s. Nice try, Time Warner.

Thank god you can still jab a faggot-ass fish through the face with a tin spike and toss it on the warped deck of a righteous fishing boat to suffocate while you give high-fives to your weekend-drunk utility worker friends. That's 'Murica to me, baby.

The northeast is always steps ahead of the rest of the country(and I'm from the midwest)

When slavery was legal we were the first to ban it

When women couldn't vote we were the first to allow them

When it was illegal to be racy on the radio we gave you howard

When gay marriage was illegal we were the first to allow it

    Etc, etc, etc.....

Gun control is needed and is coming. Get ready or get lost.

maybe we can find a way to do it that does not cause a dramatic increase in gun sales, like has resulted from the president's announcement of his gun control initiative?
