In a 24 hour race?
I thought it was a good documentary, but i'm a race fan...Don't know shit about his acting but have seen him at Daytona a coupla times and he seems like a nice, humble guy
I keep seeing it on the guide, but I never went there.
I watch it, not a half bad show.
The P2 category is going to kick DP next year. They will have to slow em down I imagine.
They're gonna speed up the DP's...Looking forward to the Rolex 24hr
I'm really dropping names here today so forgive me for sounding like a douchebag, but I know some racing insiders and have had lunch with Dempsey a couple of times (in a group, not one-on-one). The first time I didn't even know he was an actor. My wife just about shit when I told her. But even after I found out that he's a pretty big deal, we've never talked about anything but racing.
He's not the funnest guy in the world, but he's a good guy...and knows his racing. I never got a whiff of "I'm rich, famous, and good looking, so F you" which I would certainly do in his situation.
Granted, he never had to completely pay his dues to get his rides, but he's a good driver. And he knows his limits...unlike Jason Priestly.
Was in a ton of good movies in the late 80s, early 90s. Best being Coupe De Ville. But comedies like Can't Buy me Love and Loverboy.
Now everybody can watch him here in this thread!
did they have to to an extra special helmet for his perfect hair
I still think of him more like...
"You ignored the Ronald Miller dork for 17 years. Now you wanna ride the Ronnie Miller express?"
Explain to us what this means
Oh nice. i hope so, those fucking shit bags on wheels need a helping of speed.
The 2 sports car series are merging next year. Not unlike Champ Car and the IRL.
ALMS which uses the same cars as the Lemans 24 has the real protoypes. Grand Am has disgusting ugly shitty Nsacar wanna be sports car prototypes. But Grand Am is cheaper and has better racing so it has more teams, so they are keeping the Daytona proyotype class but also the P2, which is a slower version of the P1 in Lemans class.
Here is a shit wagon...
Here is a real prototype
Pat Demspey was racing one of those, then switched to a regular Porsche.
Off topic: How did Michael J. Fox's show do?
I watched it! I'm a big race car fan so I enjoyed it!
7.3 2.1 not to will was rooting for him...
i'm a patrick duffy man goddammit!
