First De La Soul album in over a decade

For any avante-garde jazz fans (probably not many), these guys are totally worth checking out

    Bluegrass fans

Really looking forward to giving this a full listen. @Daveindiego

Right now, I am checking out the Of Montreal album that was released a couple weeks ago. A little too EDM for me, but it is a bit less whiney, which is nice.

So fucking stoked on the new Glass Animals.

Will be listening to a lot this weekend.

Oh yeah, the Leeds and Reading festival in England is this weekend, pretty sure that YouTube is streaming it.

They opened for Slayer a bunch of times, but I never got to the shows in time to see them.

In 2016 there is no such thing as a day when "a lot" of good albums get released.

    In 1966, 1976, even 1986 yes. Not 2016.

The De La Soul is okay. Lots of guests, which makes it kind of hit and miss.

WOW I'm old. Never heard of a single one of these bands, although the name, De La Soul sounds familiar - but I've never heard them play before. And based on the few seconds I tried to listen to, I'll pass on it too.

With choices like these (and no offense to you at all - music is all just a matter of personal opinion - there is no right or wrong), I'll stick with the classics - Rush, Zep, Hendrix..... you know the list.

The Glass Animals album is so good. Lovin' it.

Will issue De La Soul but I'm not expecting much. Wasn't even really a fan when I was in HS and they had their 1 or 2 hits.

August 1976 - The self-titled debut album by Boston is released.
August 1986 - Bon Jovi release "Slippery When Wet"
August 1996 - Aaliyah releases "One in a Million"
August 2006 - Nothing especially notable in releases, but David Gilmour completes his world tour with a show in Gdansk, Poland. The show is filmed recorded and released in 2008 as a live album.
