Not ONE of the gifts I purchased this holiday season were from a brick & mortar store

Thank you almighty Jesus for the internet... And thank you for Amazon-Prime

I just got a good laugh at all the shlubs fighting for a parking space at the mall as I drove right on by....

Same here, most of the junk I bought was either from amazon or ebay.

everything so far is from Amazon. the stores here no longer stock anything because the costs to house inventory are too high. last Sat when i wanted to get an xbox one i first went local but nobody had any in stock. everyone wanted me to place an order and they would deliver by Dec 24th. i went to amazon. they said by Dec 22nd. I started to place the order and it said "after xmas" so i added $7.00 for one day shipping and suddenly the delivery date changed to Dec 18th. it was delivered the morning of the 18th. what is the value of local stores here anymore?

I do shop online quite a bit - I love Amazon. I do agree with Schmoop about supporting local businesses. I did shop at local stores and I enjoy being out in the hubbub and taking care to choose just the 'perfect' item.

I have done ALL my Christmas Shopping from Amazon Prime. ...2and day guaranteed delivery free- one I got overnighted free - No Crowds', "Lightning Deal's", Quality products ... No monies wasted on petrol against the crowds and parking. Wife has been like you ..... in finding/getting stuff for her side of the family.. And is still out there shopping.

How does it look on me ?

I am thinking of hanging it on the tree - and have her look for it with all the other crap she already has put on it -- and if she needs the boy's to help her find it -- then so be it.

Society, & sociological behavior, ebbs & flows... You must move with it, or be left behind to shrivel up & die .... The need to "browse" for goods at a brick & mortal facility has all but vanished, much like the Milkman, gas station attendant, and TV repairman....

...And, no screaming babies, or unkempt people with nauseating B.O.

Haven't had to deal with ONE moo-moo wearing two-ton Tina who ignores her howling incubus child ... God bless America
