By definition Howard was never a true satirist but his unfiltered takes on the hypocrisy that made our daily lives from the world of politics, sports and Hollywood were legendary.

Now that he is a pussy whipped celebrity ass kisser who is your heir apparent to Howard's vacant thrown?

IMHO there is no one better right now then Stephen Colbert

His show The Colbert Report does a great job at pointing out hypocrisy better then anyone currently on TV

I think Colbert's a one-trick pony. Same joke for years now. I think Stewart is funnier and more even-handed, but still a bit too much of an agenda.

I don't watch hardly any tv ever, and haven't for quite some time. What I've seen of Colbert (and Stewart) I've seen online. To me Colbert is funniest when he breaks character, which isn't often from what I've seen. But the clip he and Stewart did about the Prince Charles gay scandal, and how the British press had to watch their words had me rolling. It still makes me laugh. :D

I dunno about satire but I'm drifting towards Ferguson and his show for my comedy fix. Helps that Fake Arnold, Josh Thompson, does a damn good job as Geoff

yea Stewart is funny as hell.. as for an agenda.. he gives it to the right pretty hard but anyone basing ones voting on a comedy show on Comedy Central is no worse then basing it on

a fairy tail on Fox News

Ferguson is great... Sad that Conan has lost his way and was once my go to guy after Howard

Conan peaked in the late 90s sadly. The last nail in the coffin of his humor was getting the Tonight Show

Colbert, no question. Of a distinctly higher and more polished and fucking funny grade than Stewart at present. Howard is SO not-trying these days that it's not even the same list.

If I had HBO or wherever the hell he is, Maher might be on it too.

Colbert is great, but it's not as funny without George Bush in office.

Stewart and Colbert for the hypocrisy/satire, Tosh.0 for the funny. I guess Howie got me used to people commenting on youtube clips, and assorted gay antics, and Tosh usually has at least one "he didn't really just say that" moment per show, the way Howie USED to. Haven't seen any of the new season yet though.
