Unlike Mlaw I don't need to lock my thread because the facts speak for themselves. Mlaw's nemesis, Charity Navigator isn't necessary to judge NSAL's bullshit. According to NSAL's own financial statements they use about 60% of their donations for helping animals, most well run animal charities utilize 75-90% of their donations for animal services. One organization very similar to NSAL, PAWS Chicago utilizes 92% of the money given them for animal care. Like NSAL, PAWS is a no kill shelter, in a high cost environment but somehow they are far, far more efficient in the care of rescues. Let's say it costs a charity $250 on average to rescue an animal. With a $10,000 donation PAWS can rescue 37 animals, while NSAL can only rescue 24 with the same money. If a person truly cared for animals and not fame whoring and using the charity for their own goals the choice is a no brainier.
