Cooked both last night, gotta say the NY Strip is a better cut...

Howard related because he won't eat beef or Beff, which means more for me and more global warming because cow farts matter!!

I like a good Ribeye. Currently about $15/lb, though.

I'll take a NY Stripe or a T-Bone over ribeye any day of the week.

I don't have money to throw around like beefus, but my vote would be to save up a couple NSAL donations and get a medium rare filet mignon.

Crab meat & Bearnaise Sauce on top.

depends on what you like, a NY is more meat, a Ribeye has more marbling in it "fat" but the marbling adds to the flavor, tenderness and juicyness when cooked, I prefer Ribeye myself but cooked right a NY can be very good! I'm a chef so I deal with these all the time, both are excellent cuts of meat just depends on what you like!

I just went food shopping and I continue to be STUNNED at what beef costs. There was a package of two beef shish kabobs, with veggies of course, and it was $10.89 for the package. The same item cost half that just a couple of years ago. I used to eat two kabobs for dinner all of the time.

I don't know how restaurants can afford not to charge a bloody fortune for every plate including some meat on it.

How do you do the ribeye? I did slow and low for a bit then cranked up the flame at the end. Am I doing it correctly.
