Finally something funny on that show.
Bubba the Love Sponge is probably more your speed.
Got to give them credit for playing it and enjoying it I'm sure if the situation was reversed Howard would act like it was the unfunniest thing he ever heard because it didnt come from his show
At least they were live to play it!
They also ripped off one of Howard's old gay contests yesterday. It's nice that they pay for a subscription to Howard's show so they can look for material to steal.
I remember my first beer.
O&A were most definitely trying to be Howard in the late 90's/early 2000s. I wasn't listening to them then, but looking back it was rather obvious. The naked chicks, fans doing gross out shit in studio, and planned staff bits. SO glad they found their own identity and took the side of let it flow comedy, REAL opinions, and intelligence.
Fuck Howard! You crying over a wrong done to Howard fucking stern? Pussies
Jay Thomas played it on his show too. By the time Howard gets around to playing it, it will be old news.
And you are arguing with someone upset a gay waxing bit was "stolen". Sad state of affairs the Howard fans are in. Suing the company, never on, etc. I feel bad for them.
remember O&A playing the Pat O'Brien tapes when they first came to XM? Flash foreword to Howie doing the exact same thing. Wonder how the Howie show heard of Patrice, Who Kid, and Amy? EXACTLY. Louis CK said he was called after leaving O&A by Gary to say "herd you were in NY and we're all big fans, interested in doing our show?" NO, he said.
Howard will spend an hour on this whenever he comes back from vacation.
I discovered ONA post merger via a recommendation by Howard. But I have witnessed the difference between a Howard and ONA interview of Louis. One of them was incredible. The other a wig wearing megalomaniac attempted to psychoanalyze a comic.
I bitched about the waxing of Sal (O&A Sal) because it was a Howard ripoff and it wasn't funny. As far as the Gay-off is concerned I don't think Howard ever took it that far and it actually was funny.
As an old Howard fan who converted to O&A earlier this year I find it awesome if the story about Louis CK turning them down is true.
Wasn't Patrice a "friend of the show?" I thought Howard and Gary mentioned something about that after Patrice died.
Everyone is a friend of the show after they die.
Gary: boff, a friend of the show rock Hudson died.
Opie also read a tweet that said it was Cap'n Janks and Opie said he knew that and said it was a great call.
Last month Anthony brought up Boots crashing a live on the street news segment and admitted that he laughed his ass off. Howard would never do that if the shoe was on the other foot.
Howard will get around to playing it in a week or so...
Do you really believe that Howard was the first radio show to have someone waxed on air?
I love how they got it on the air before Howard did and I don't even listen to them.
