I'll be watching it. Looks great. Loved them when they were big. First three albums were great.
Was this the one the brothers refused to cooperate with?
I never got their popularity
I can't wait for this. I love those nutty bastards.
What a couple of stupid twats.
bloody wankers, they blew it
I loved the way those guys fought. Always wondered how much was staged.
None of it. Their failure to get along has cost them millions. Cancelled tours, shelved albums, etc.
They truly fucking hate each other.
A few months ago, someone tweeted to Liam asking if they would ever get back together.
Liam responded by posting a photo of Noel simply captioned, "potato".
Definitely gonna watch it, me and a good old friend loved playing their music on guitar together and jamming out in high school. Still love playing along to them. Here's a few of my personal favorites.
This is gonna be great. Noel is fucking awesome.
They were great until they started thinking they were as big/good as the beatles
They could have been as big as The Beatles, but like you stated, they started thinking and acting like they were The Beatles.
All they needed was Brian Epstein and the Maharishi to complete the set.
I hope this fucking thing has sub-titles.
they really were
I heard this the other day for the first time in a bunch of years
forgot how much I loved it
That's one of the best songs ever written.
They had a great run, albeit very brief. What's the Story, Morning Glory and Be Here Now are both classic records. A band that makes one truly classic record is special. One that makes a pair is very rare.
That being said, Oasis was Noel Gallagher. He wrote everything and it didn't really matter who was standing up there with him. Even though his brother Liam was the lead singer, Noel was a better vocalist, too. When Liam would throw a fit and refuse to play a show, Noel didn't flinch for a second. He'd just go out and sing the songs without missing a beat. Plus, Noel is a hilarious walking sound bite even if you need subtitles to understand him!
I'm not sure what the deal is with these 'One night only' movie showings? Does that mean I have to pay a lot and go out of my way next month to see it BEFORE I just stream it in my home theater the next week? Either way, it looks entertaining.
I can't wait to see this. Their first two albums are brilliant.
