Illegal is illegal, I didn't like it when Reagan did it, I don't like Obama doing it.

it wasnt when reagan did it.
it wasnt when mccain wrote the bill to do it.
it wasnt when mitt was for it.
    bush was for it too.

if ppl truly were against it they wouldnt keep choosing ppl who are for it.

also, they come and stay anyways, i dont see why adding that 1 word causes outrage.
id rather use it to weed out the few bad ones and collect taxes from the good ones, which is the vast majority.

Don't do that. Don't say a Republican was guilty of the same damn thing. Are you trying to get someone’s panties in a wad?

Seems like the real problem is all the "job creators" hiring illegals

reagan's amnesty (simpson-mazzoli) was for 2 million illegals in exchange for securing the border.
the democrats reneged on securing the border, which is why the conservative base learned its lesson about amnesty in exchange for border security

mccain is the most hated republican in the country. so it actually was a huge problem for him.
mitt talked about "self-deportation," don't you remember?
bush left office with sub-30% approval ratings. republicans turned on him, starting primarily with his amnesty push. the republican base stopped bush and mccain's amnesty, so they were in no way in support of it then either.

can you please learn what the fuck you are talking about?

Obama wants to give them all three years of "tax refunds" for taxes they never paid. It's an obvious effort to literally purchase votes.

They did that a few times already via previous amnesties.

If a person jumps the fence into a guy's yard and uses his pool, and the neighbor doesn't have him arrested, but instead he feeds him a meal and offers him a cigar and a drink, he's probably going to keep coming back, and probably tell his friends about it.

Very true. They attempt to gain a competitive advantage with lower labor costs. They also want a more desperate, and therefore controllable work force.

This has always been around, but it really exploded during the last part of the Reagan administration. On some level it is benign, but the problem is that gradually it has become widespread enough to transform the economy and fucked the low wage earners here.

Also, richer people tend to be bigger consumers of the services offered largely by immigrant labor. Not many poor people have maids, lawn services, pay for car washes, or build huge homes where labor savings matter proportionally more.

Lower income people do benefit from marginally lower prices that come from lower paid clerks, cashiers, fruits and vegetables, etc. But nowhere near the degree that they are affected by their wages being half what they otherwise might have been.

The fact is, the world is mostly poor relative to us. It would be more productive and change the lives of many times more people to export prosperity know-how than to import cheap labor.

If illegal immigrants were all Mexican PhDs and MDs, engineers, and lawyers who spoke perfect English, and therefore could demand comparable wages for their services, Republicans would have little support for any amnesty.

If illegal immigrants were all illiterate poorly educated Germans who spoke no English, there would be little support for amnesty from Democrats.

Well maybe if you weren't offering him a job cleaning your pool for half of what an American would charge he'd stay on his side of the fence?

This immigration reform is purely about Obama buying votes because the GOP is trending in pretty much every part of the country (thanks, Obama!). Next year would be a runaway Republican win for the White House if they could find a good candidate.

Doesn't everyone dislike Hillary? I thought that was a given.

Republicans have huge leads right now in the following areas:

    State Governors

    GOP 31
    Dem 18
    Ind 1

    State Legislatures

    GOP 31
    Dem 11
    Ind/Tie 8

The Dems are trending very poorly in how states see themselves:
