HBO has released a new Game of Thrones behind-the-scenes featurette giving us a good look at the White Walkers and the brilliant make-up artists that bring them to life. Check out the Game of Thrones Season 6 featurette below!

Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, the hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. The ensemble cast for the fifth season included Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner. Former “Deadwood” star Ian McShane is also set to guest star in Game of Thrones season six.

David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield are the executive producers. The co-executive producers are Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and George R.R. Martin.

Game of Thrones season five began with a power vacuum that protagonists across Westeros and Essos were looking to fill. At Castle Black, Jon Snow struggled to balance the demands of the Night’s Watch with those of newly-arrived Stannis Baratheon, who styles himself the rightful king of Westeros. Meanwhile, Cersei scrabbled to hold on to power in King’s Landing amidst the Tyrells and the rise of a religious group led by the enigmatic High Sparrow, while Jaime embarked on a secret mission. Across the Narrow Sea, Arya sought an old friend while a fugitive Tyrion found a new cause. And as danger mounts in Meereen, Daenerys Targaryen found that her tenuous hold on the city requires some hard sacrifices.

the main problem is George RR Martin hasn't finished the new book.

So, in the show, some of the characters stories has stopped, like Bran Starks story of the three eyed raven. Then the show now has to add new material also change things around. Which have been great but also bad

The issue I have, if the new book ever comes out, what if the stories are much better than what the show added, and vise versa.

its driving me crazy, Martin has to to of his ass and finish the book

    writer reveals what to expect

Looking back over the last five seasons of Game of Thrones and you’ll notice there have been some pretty huge battle sequences.

Notably, in the fourth season, one episode that took place entirely at the Wall entitled “Watchers on the Wall” - the one where *she* gets killed by Olly - was the show’s most expensive so far.

However, the upcoming season six looks set to top even that bombastic, Giant-filled event. According to writer-producer Bryan Cogman, the show’s biggest action sequence yet is just around the corner.

“It’s definitely the biggest [action sequence yet],” Cogman told EW. “We’ve always wanted to get to a place – story-wise and budget-wise and time-wise and resource-wise – where we would be able to do a proper battle, with one army on one side, one army on another side.”

According to the report, the battle will see “Hundreds of human soldiers on one side of a field, another army on the other side, and then there is a clash that is highly tactical, yet character-driven, and shown from start to finish”.

Who could an army of humans be fighting? Likely, they'll be facing off against the White Walker army we saw at the end of season five.

In other Game of Thrones news, the showrunners have said theupcoming season will be “the best one yet”, while Liam Cunningham revealed more information about that “mic drop” moment from the traile
