She is probably the only one to pull that type of tribute off.Not saying I liked it, just that I can't think of anyone else that could do it. Love Nile Rodgers!

I found it to be very disjointed, even for a medley.

This is an excellent point, Scarlett!!!

I couldn't think of anyone else last night who could have done it, either.

(I wonder if people are freaked they picked a woman to do it, too.)

To be honest, she is more masculine than Bowie ;)

It wasn't that good. She's a talented musician and it was poor. I too loved Nile!

    Anothuh excellent point, Scarlett!!!

She attacked it too hard, Bowie always had a delicacy about him, even when he was True Fire.

I still looooovve this Bowie performance:

It appeared to me just a huge vanity showcase. She FAILS so badly in the shadow of a genius. I thought it was embarrassing all around. Good for Zowie!

Eh, she gave it her best shot. Let's be honest, we were never going to like it because it's not Bowie and that's what we all want. It's like when they cover Beatles or Freddie Mercury songs at these things - they just can't match the original.

I give Gaga credit though. I started to respect her after I saw her Sound of Music tribute at the Acadamy Awards a year or two ago. Love her or hate her, the girl's got chops.

George Michael is the only singer I have seen do a tribute song just as good as the original

All she had to do was play Heroes on the piano, but Ra Ra Ga Ga couldn't fucking help herself, could she?

...i love gaga and i dont even listen to her music. shes talented and can dance her ass off but i like the way she pushes the envelope. thats how i noticed her before she was famous she was an oddity that got photographed for what she would wear and i thought she was the best thing since andy warhol. when she was being notice for how shed dress no one even knew she was an accomplished juliard musician.
