The Godfather on The History Channel looks fucking terrible.

Id like to see that special, but i dont have a clue how they will show 'Sunny at the causeway' or many other scenes.

It's hard to believe the movie was so good considering Robert Evans was involved and attempting to force his input. Check out The Kid Stays in the Picture to see what a quintessential old-school Hollywood douchebag was like, the guy was unreal. Makes me smile that Steve McQueen stole his wife from him.

That compound add-on material surprised me. I always thought that was part of the real home.

I really enjoyed this program. It's a shame Mario Puzo is dead; I would love to have heard his take on the retrospective.
I always try to guess who the narrator is; this one stumped me -- turns out it was Michael Imperioli (Christopher on "The Sopranos"). His voice sounded totally different.

Georgio posted something this afternoon on Facebook about the universe being made of giggles. The post was long and made less sense than Riley after a bout of food poisoning.

I missed the fuckin' thing...just turned on the replay. I was in that house about a dozen times...the girl whose family bought it right before they filmed the movie and moved into it right afterwards gave me the tour and showed me all the shit they changed for the set.

Interesting and entertaining, but it reminds me why I hate being an "Italian." Ancient has-been actors pretending to be wiseguys makes me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed in so many ways.
