    Summary of Facts

About two years ago, I purchased a Cisco Linksys WR120N wireless router...I installed it and it has worked perfectly until a couple of days ago...Now my computer (Apple Macbook) won't even recognize a wireless signal from the router even if the computer is only a couple of feet away from the router..What is confusing is that the ethernet ports still work on the router and the router is indicating that it is sending a wireless signal as evidenced by the "flashing signal" on the router..

The problem is not my computer as my laptop still "picks up" and recognizes wireless signals from other routers from homes in the area...MY ISP is comcast....

...I have "re-set" both the Comcast modem as well as the wire-less router...but still no luck...

    Suggestions????

Try wrapping some aluminum foil around the antenna on your router.

You should have a folder called "Cisco" in your Applications, and it has a self-diagnostic tool in it. At least mine does...

I called Cisco...the fucking dumasses...I talked to some guy from the Philippines who spent a half an hour on the phone with me gathering information about my router, computers, etc.. only to tell me at the end of the conversation that my router was out of warranty but that the company was willing to sell me a service plan for $30 (50% cost of a new router)...I hate these fuckers..
