This AM, I woke up with my left ankle in excruciating pain, I couldn't walk on it.

I did not twist my ankle or anything.

I'm getting around with a cane. When I sit, the pain radiates up to my left butt cheek. Almost like it's traveling up and down the nerve.

I tried using liniment on my ankle and it gets warm, but doesn't affect the pain. I'm sitting on a heating pad and that helps the rear end pain, but not the ankle.

It's not gout, because that is in the toes and doesn't radiate up the leg.

    Any suggestions? No trolls, btw.

I think Bye you is right, I knew someone with the same issue and it was a sciatica nerve in the back. They got a back brace which separated the vertebrae off of the nerve and felt relief :dontknow:

I get this from time to time. This exercise provides relief almost instantly, although it may intensify the pain during the first few seconds.

Hope it helps you. Good luck.

That sounds exactly like me, except it's the left leg. Thanks.
