I have an XM tuner in all 4 of my cars, but I let the subscriptions lapse because I can listen to music on Pandora or my phone or USB etc... But the car I drive most days is in the shop so I have a loan car and it has XM so I checked out the Stern channels the past few days. The contrast between the old school HSS with Jackie, Billy, Stuttering John, Gange, Grillo, etc vs the newer shows with Artie, Sal & Richard, etc. show just how far the show has fallen.

I think the show was much funnier when Howard was on terrestrial radio. Before he could say anything he was more creative and funny, and this was when he was miserable living as a straight married man. I have come to realize that Artie and Sal & Richard were never actually funny, they're just funny in the context of the modern show. The old HSS was actually funny.

I'd rather listen to Howard bust Jackie's balls about his jetty than all of the contrived bullshit that passes for funny these days.
