What was the name of the show's theme song before the Rob Zombie? Was it an old jazz song?
"In a mellow tone"/
Now give me some rep love lol
Thanks! I was just walking my dog around are park and they are having a jazz fest. They were playing a song and I thought it sounded like the old theme song. That was a Duke Ellington song right!
If you listen to that song it takes you back to a time when Stern was funny and the show was great.
It really does.
Also, Tilt-a-whirl by Jimmie Vaughan
Hated when he switched over to the Rob Zombie collaboration, desperate attempt to appear edgy with that generic, throwaway shit Zombie handed to him.
I loved that one. Big fan of Jimmie and SRV, uhh, uhh, uhh, big fan.
Yup. Totally. Husband and I kicked off our cocktail hour for our wedding with that song. Those who knew, knew.
Now this dreck. Blah.
Those were the days I would lie awake in bed and listen to Howard til he went off. I couldn't stand the thought of getting up and possibly missing something.
A remember having a 120 cassette set up to start recording at 6:00 am and tossing another in before leaving for school. Drove me nuts when the show ran beyond the length of the second cassette. Hard to believe now, but that's how it was when the show first turned up in Los Angeles.
I liked the old start song back in the day.
I had a boom box hidden behind some crates at work and I'd pop in a cassette and record when I clocked in at 6AM, then duck out every hour and flip the tape or put a new one in. It seems so ridiculous now.
Thanks. I never knew the name of the second theme song. +R
"I wonder how big Rob Zombies cock is, Robin."
This is the only one I remember, I started listening around 1995 or so when they syndicated to Memphis. I also did the whole wake - record - sleep - alarm an hour later - flip tape - repeat. I have a bunch of tapes in my attic with shows on them. Ah man.
