"Golden Throated" Robin Quivers
Even the WNBC days sucked and were hacky
I love how Imus calls out Howard when Stern says he's "never doing another one of these disc jokey reports" and then Don hits him with "Here's the thing Howard, if somebody shows up with a camera, you'll do it."
Even back then The Wig was claiming that after his WNBC contract ended he was moving on to bigger and better things [in television]. 30+ years later he's a clown judge on a third rate Gong Show.
omg his teeth give me the creeps
The constant clapping.
i began listening at about the time howard was fired from nbc, i couldn't believe how someone would be so bold and side-splittingly funny. it was like nothing i ever heard before!!!! someone had mentioned howard at the office so one day on the way home i tuned into nbc and he was chatting about constipation and farts.
sadly the show didn't age well. the best years were the billy west/jackie years although there were very sporadic moments of brilliance in early 2000-2002. even though howard has become boring and predictable, i have to admit there has never been another entertainer who has given me so many hours of laughter.
those days are gone.
at 3:55 you can see Metallica's Ride The Lightning album.
