cued up to the right time. Dude makes a great point.
God damn - I bet he and my dad could go on for 8 hours each bitching about shit from the past 50 years. Great quote though.
Ole is never wrong.
I like this guy. What's his story,
I didn't have to play that clip to know that he might have used "the n-word"
actually----facetious statement aside I know he didn't use "the n-word" in that clip (or in any available shoot interviews) but it's a KNOWN fact that he wasn't a big fan of the blacks
neither was Watts despite all of you Watts apologists who will start coming at me with the "WELL, IF HE WAS A RACIST THEN WHY DID HE PUT THE STRAP ON RON SIMMONS?!"
....Watts was a great booker though.......
Watts put the strap on the One Man Gang, so that's two blacks rights there.
Ole wasn't racist. Want proof? He came up with the Black Scorpion.
I thought you meant this old Anderson.
Ole & Watts both did what drew. If the Atlanta territory in 1975 had a ton of blacks in it, they wouldn't have drawn white fans, but having Thunderbolt Patterson and one or 2 other negro workers, would draw black fans.
Watts always had a black guy on top, cause Louisiana blacks were the territories biggest fans. Ernie Ladd, JYD, Butch Reed, even tried Brickhouse Brown for a run. Rone Simmons got the strap for 2 reasons, he was a legit tough guy, which Watts loved, and Watts was trying to recreate the success he had w/ JYD.
Edit: Clip had nothing to do w/ race, was about decrepit old fucks in Congress.
Oh, and Vince somehow doesn't get labeled a racist, but he has an old school minstrel show every Monday night and he suspended a black man for touching him.
