You just might finally qualify for an Executive Account with Designated Driving Services Ltd.

i don't know what that is but it sounds like something an obese, gluttonous, whore-monger would dream up.

I applied for a car loan at my credit union, and they gave me my credit score. Six weeks later when I bought my car, the dealer gave me my number again, but the same company (Experian) dropped my score by 70 points. WTF?

    :dontknow:

I'd applied for car loans at two places (AAA and the CU) but nothing else. I still qualified for the discount rate at Ford, so I'm not complaining.

    But I'm still complaining. :fil:

Credit-seeking negatively impacts your score. It's an evil algorithm.

Fucking AAA wanted to know exactly what car I was buying (make, model, trim, options...) and the dingbat at the office wouldn't just let me have a ballpark figure of what I qualified for. :pissed:

Congrats Dink. I'm just a few points away. It's pretty silly what you have to do in order to get that high.

Who'd a thought that using your credit cards would raise your credit score?

Every inquiry knocks you down, as well as patterns of multiple inquiries. I've seen the same manager put 6-8 inquiries in to different banks/buyers, and they all run their own inquiries. That fucks you fairly quickly, especially if credit is marginal.

no kidding. i make sure i pay them off every moths and i only use them for online purchases. but even still, i was sitting at like 788 forever and then all of a sudden, boom! 808! one thing i know kept it from rising for a while was that i got an american express card not too long ago, which reduced the average age/length of my credit. but i guess that finally stopped impacting me negatively. plus i've paid student loans for a few years now. fucking student loans.

If you apply for a car loan at two places, it shouldn't count against you twice. And not nearly 70 points. I would get a full report and see what caused it. Could be some identity theft going on.
