    Fellow space nerds....

The Orionid Meteor Shower will be bringing its celestial fireworks to the sky tonight into Thursday morning. Where are the best places to see the light show?

If you live in Alabama, Tennessee or Mississippi – or anywhere in the Southeast, really – you're probably in pretty good shape.

AccuWeather's map of the meteor shower viewing area has Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and much of Mississippi in the "good" viewing area. The meteors, which fall to the Earth after following in the orbit of Halley's Comet, will peak late night on Oct. 21 and continue overnight into the early morning hours of Oct. 22. The waxing moon will set before the peak hours of the shower and few clouds are predicted, experts said, making 2015 a good time to catch a view of the meteors.

As many as 20 meteors an hour are expected to streak across the night sky....
