I just bought one of 2 of these being held for me.

One is going to be for drinking with special guests and one I'm going to keep unopened.

I'm going to try and get my hands on the others as well.

    This one sounds even better.

The flavor of this extraordinary whiskey is exuberant and rich with undertones of smoke and honey. The finish is dry and spicy, with a hint of orange peel.

So if someone starts a craft distillery, they have to wait 20+ years before they can sell the product?

    No.

Sometimes they store whiskey someplace and forget that its there.

    http://www.orphanbarrel.com/#story

00a1T.png he Orphan Barrel Whiskey Company was started to share barrels of rare and delicious whiskey, hidden away and nearly forgotten in the back of rickhouses and distilleries.

Stories of these lost whiskeys have become the stuff of legend. Our goal is to bottle these rare, small offerings for the world to try.

Every Orphan Barrel is hand bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to ensure that these rare whiskeys are treated with the care they deserve – because some of them will only be available once. And once they're gone, they're gone forever.
