I have some homework to do but I think Seth will be up to the MC role.
some good jokes mixed in with the announcement. Not at all typical. Seth giving us a preview.
I have like 7 movies to watch and I will cast my votes. Last year I cleaned up.
I made an oscar thread last year and it failed hahaa
you'll see Dommie, I bet FCC joins me, maybe Fla, a few more. Last year it was fun.
I never saw your thread.
Of course they'll join YOU
I'm glad my thread got lost last year. My pics died. But two years ago I got every major category.
I'll wait for the late buzz then come in with my magic.
I will win. 10 bucks.
I had someone take it out back and put it out of it's misery.
Argo for the win
edit: best picture.
whatever That would go for most of my threads.
gotta watch em' all before you vote Obi!
Ain't got time for all that. I saw Argo so that's what I am voting for.
Bunch of snobs anyway not nominating Dark Knight
oh well, right before vote anyway.
This is what I think of the Oscar "picks"!
Notice how she smells her fingers quickly, then works to clean her nails! Talk about nasty!
Lemme tell ya about the "Oscars." The Oscars is an invention by Hollywood to rebrand an old product. Like "Classic Coke" simply is a rebrand of Coke. What the Hollywood bosses decided to do back in1929 is to create a vehicle to get people back into the theater and see movies. So they invented an award called the Oscar.
Basically it goes like this, "It won an Oscar and I didn't see it so it must be good.. Let's go see it." Its how Hollywood sucks people back into the theater in order to generate more life (see:$$$) out of a product, (see: movie)
Nobody remembers what movie won best picture 2 or 3 years ago.. Let alone who won Best Actor.. Its all a big scam that works like a charm.
But I haven't seen a single film nominated, in any category.
IMHO the best picture of 2012 was "Cloud Atlas." Brilliant script, original screenplay, trippy and interesting movie. Makes watching "Argo" like watching a PBS documentary.
