The long awaited Oscar Pistorius trial begins Monday at 3am or 10am Johannesburg. Much of it will be broadcast on South African TV except when Oscar testifies. The investigative team had to bring Oscar's iPhone to the US to unlock it. Oscar said he forgot the password. There might be damaging evidence on the phone. The State is expected to call 107 witnesses and the trial should last three weeks. Sounds like it will last longer than that. The Judge in the case will decide Oscar's fate as there are no jury trials in SA since 1969 when it was decided that that all white juries wouldn't give a black man a fair decision. The Judge will be assisted by two assessors. I think their job is to correlate the evidence as only man will decided if Oscar is going to jail and for how long.
