    Never moved because it's too hard with terrain and conditions and everyone is just trying to survive it. Some of the bodies are decades old still in their clothes, preserved from the snow and conditions. These climbers just walk by them year after year. Freaky.

    Yeah- that is creepy. The cold preserves everything- even the clothes. You have to admire these people for having the guts to do this and risk their lives.

    I like reading tragic stores about Everest. Lots of crazy shit goes on every year especially now that people can literally pay their way up there with very little climbing experience

    In my town it is against the law to leave a dead body on your property longer than seven consecutive days.

    The fine for the first time isn't too steep, but the second violation is pricey.

    It would be interesting to know the %'s of who were qualified climbers vs. the overly ambitious (with some dinero)... one pic in the OP was from 1932... Hillary didn't make the 1st successful summit until 1953 :dontknow:
