Tom Wolf is in favor of medical marijuana, and would sign a bill legalizing it, he said Tuesday. “It pains me that anybody...is not getting the treatment he or she needs,” Wolf said Tuesday, meeting with family advocates for medical marijuana legalization. Wolf said he would sign such a bill should it reach his desk, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. On Tuesday Wolf said he has supported decriminalizing recreational uses of marijuana, and “naturally” supports medicinal uses, PennLive.com reported. Senate Bill 3, identical to legislation passed last session, would allow patients under a doctor’s care to buy marijuana from licenses centers. Its co-sponsors say it has bipartisan support. Former Gov. Tom Corbett did not support the legalization of medical marijuana. Twenty-one states and the District of Columbia have laws legalizing certain medicinal uses of the drug.
