Trying to get a lot of Pacino films in. Here's what I've got so far. I know I have to watch Godfather soon, but are there any other must-haves before that one? Any you particularly enjoy?

    Heat -- prob my favorite
    Serpico
    Scarface
    Scent of a Woman
Donny Brasco (been a while, may watch again)
    Justice for All
    Devils advocate
    Glengarry glen ross
    Reightous kill
    The insider

The HBO movie "You Don't Know Jack" was probably his last great work.

Dog Day Afternoon is another good one.

    Panic in Needle Park
The HBO miniseries Angels in America, based on Tony Kushner's epic Broadway play. Pacino plays closeted lawyer Roy Cohn, and he is nothing short of astonishing, especially when he's acting with Meryl Streep. As my dear father would say, "it's an acting clinic".

The Insider is an underrated Michael Mann film. Although it's more Russel Crowe's movie, Pacino plays the lead. Worth watching once, at least.

Word on the street is this new indie flick he's in, Danny Collins, is a rare good contemporary Pacino performance, but I haven't seen it yet.

Shit, insider! That one is good, too... Forgot about it. Al was the 60 minutes reporter and Crowe was the tobacco guy.

The movie itself wasn't legendary by any stretch of the imagination, but Pacino put Keanu Reeves in his back pocket and queefed on him in Devil's Advocate.

Not since 12 Monkeys have I witnessed such a mismatch of acting talent.

It's like Pacino only accepted the part because he knew how good he'd look next to Keanu. Which he did. It worked so well, Pacino comes across as the greatest thespian of his era throughout.
