    to be called tyvek it has to be polyethylene fibers and it has to be bonded only by heat and pressure otherwise it can't be called tyvek. if the molecules are different then it's a patent violation to call it tyvek. you would think Dupont or whoever owns it now, would be upset.

    You send them 10 bucks and they send you - something.

    Some people got scarves or costume jewelry. A bunch of use got those wallets. :nocheer:

    its one of DuPont's best accidental discoveries. It's about the most resilient man-made "cloth" specifically because it doesn't depend upon an orderly structure. its just a mass of plastic fuzz pressed together under heat. they even make underwear out of it because they can and because it can be hosed off and be made just as clean as when it was new. doesn't even need to be dried.
