I did shots with Charles Oakley twice in a bar across the street from MSG. He said Patrick was a nice guy.

Never saw a man pour more sweat while standing at the foul line than Pat.

I've never been to the garden, but used to travel to see the Knicks yearly in Cleveland with my father, since its only a couple hours from me. One game I saw pat go from the 3 point line to a finger roll on a fast break in four steps. At 12, that absolutely blew my fucking mind.

All Pat Riley can do is shake his head and remember what it was like when his superstars could actually deliver the big money game saving shot.

He buries it between the three best and tallest Celtics!

Probably the most heartbroken I've ever been after a single game. I really thought that was the Knicks year.

Now I've become comfortable with the fact the Knicks year will never come.

I went to a basketball camp at Georgetown in summer of 86. Must have been right after he went to the Knicks. He came back to talk with John Thompson and bullshit with some of the kids. He played a little one on one and dunked a time or two to show off. He was really nice. I was standing on the side and he said hello to me. I must have been 10. Didn't know that much about him. I remember being surprised he had an accent. He picked up some t shirts and handed them to me to give out to the other kids. There was so much sweat on them. It was unreal. He couldn't have been playing for more than 3 minutes. He literally sweat just from breathing.
