I did not watch the video. Is Eddie going on about KISS?
He said people still sold out arenas to see Van Halen without Michael Anthony. So basically hes saying people didnt care that he wasnt there.
I like Queensrÿche with Todd La Torre by the way. Geoff became a real dick.
I would not see VanHalen live for this reason. Michael has to be there for me to show up.
He also mentioned Bill Ward and Sabbath. Said very few bands still have original members.
I was going to say people gave a fuck about DLR not being in Van Halen.
I could never take The Beatles seriously after they lost Stuart Sutcliffe.
Depends on the band and the original members who left.
Half the people at the show probably couldn't tell you the original line up. The other half were old yuppies trying to relive their youth.
I think it comes down to a band by band basis and your personal tastes. For me the level of difficulty for a band to replace a member is (in order of most difficult to least): singer, guitarist, drummer then bassist. Of course there are exceptions but you have to be damn good to be able to replace an established singer.
Michael Anthony might be the best bass playing midget of all time.
Eddie Trunk is an insufferable cunt.
What if a member dies? If the band is still rocking then bring in the replacement and carry on. But of course some bands die with a death - like the late great Peter Steele and Type O Negative.
I care if the lead singer and lead guitarist are original, the rest not so much.
That depends. Nobody lined up to see Axl N' Roses.
I dont think the Prince replacement will sell many tickets
He has horrible taste in music.
I saw Foghat out a new album. Only the drummer is hanging on from the original guys. No thanks
