    The scariest part is when Stanhope starts sounding like the only guy in the room making any sense. Instead of an endless stream of random charity tasks “for the cure,” he suggests everyone works on the easiest problem and move on, starting with world hunger on a planet overflowing with food.     I've not heard stanhope's routine but I've often wondered what good the walks do. If you have people pledging so much per mile, most of them would just donate anyway. I don't really get the awareness angle Like nobody is aware of cancer, aids, women's issues etc. I think it just makes the participants feel good and gives them a chance to act out in public.

    Bullshit. My last walk for ALS raised over $241,000. That is just one walk too.
