PETA is upset with the way Killer Whales are treated at Sea World. They will be lining up on the route of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York to boo this float

9am at 77th and Central Park West on Thanksgiving Day. The protestors will never get on NBC. The Herald Square performing area will probably be lined with NYPD to keep the protestors out.

Parades are some of the dumbest shit ever. That and those FUCKING marathons that fucking close the GD roads.

I was stuck in one on a fucking Sunday morning. It was a "Race for Retards" or some shit. Fucked everything up on surface streets in NE Atlanta. Everything.

I love how they use the canned applause when the folks get to Herald Square and perform.

That being said.....one of my favorite memories as a kid, was waking up Thanksgiving morning to the smell of turkey in the oven, and watching the parade on TV.

Used to love Sea World when I was a kid. Watched Blackfish on CNN. My kids will not be seeing Shamu.

it would be tragic if one of the float trucks careened out of control and took out the cream of PETA. tragic.

The parade really went downhill when they dumped all the Looney Tunes balloons like Road Runner and Coyote and replaced them with lame characters like Barney and Sponge Bob. And as mentioned those canned Broadway performances at Herald Square.

that parade is jam packed, the parents don't play around, if you try to blend in or try to find a spot late....they will curse you out like a sailor in front of all the kids.

I will be joining in their protest, and not watching the parade for the 25th time.

Parades are for war heros, any other reason is just fucking stupid, AND WATCHING IT ON TV.. Full Retard.

Why don't they put up a protest float of their own instead of taking spots away from people interested in watching the parade?

Perchance because Macy's isn't about to get involved with "protest floats". I loathe much of what PETA does, but in this, I'm all for it.
