Ok, this may be for guitar nerds only, but wanted to share anyway. A very in-depth gear related interview with Peter Frampton. He discusses his 1954 (Frampton Comes Alive) Gibson Les Paul Custom that was presumably lost in a plane crash in 1980. Great story! From there he digs deep into his current live guitars and gear.

I saw him live a few years ago and was blown away. Truly as good as ever, if not even better. Not just another nostalgia act phoning it in.

In his defense, Mark, the interviewer, is 6' +. And Peter May be hunched over a bit from playing heavy Gibsons all these years.

So underrated. He let them cultivate the teen idol type fame. I'm In You was embarrassing. But he came through with flying colors. Saw him a few times, he is phenomenal.

Yea... He certainly had the looks back then, but also the chops to match. Great to see he's still at the top of his game.

And I still own a copy of 'I'm In You' on vinyl

47 minutes in and it's great. I have spent countless hours watching gear vids. Thanks, man.

I saw him last year. He was good. But my first thought was that he looks more like George Costanza now than Jesus Christ.

Guitar nerd here....Love Rig Rundown. Frampton really is a great player. Saw him live a few years back. Crisp playing and his love for the guitar shines through.

My favorite guy for demos is Phil X.
Yes, he's a little excitable, but he plays vintage equipment like he stole it and has an absolute love for his job.

Yea. I'm a fan of Phil as well. He's calming down a bit with age, but his demos are still top notch. Also love his tone, truly the less is more approach proving all you need is a decent amp and a good overdrive pedal. Nothing more.

My wife saw Bon Jovi a bit ago and she was bummed that Sambora wasn't playing. Phil stepped in and killed it. I prepped her so she watched him. Now she's a fan.

Yeah, I'm a big P90 guy. I even have one in front in my tele. Blends perfectly too.

I'm more of a heavy-LesPaul, paf humbucker kinda guy (would trade my wife and kids) for Frampton's... but an old blood-red SG is one of my bucketlist guitars.

I've had a few. SG's feel too light and neck dive on me. I've got a Standard LP(gold of course) that I love too. 57 classics I think?

I'm in the market for a new SG, and I agree with the neck dive having owned one before. I have my eye on the Derek Trucks model with the faux Vibrola...hoping it will add weight and balance.

I just bought a mint 1995 Les Paul Standard which I love...great era for Gibson, btw.

Two 'bucket list' guitars are a Gibson Custom shop Les Paul Special in TV yellow, and a Duesenburg Starplayer TV.

Love Derek, seen him a few times. Get a hold of some of the ABB "Instant Live" shows from a few years ago. Derek really shines.

    Here's my tele. That's a p90 in a HB size.
