Going around on Twitter: http://www.change.org/petitions/how...twitter via @change&utm_source=share_petition
Yeah, me too. I used a fake name and address. They force you to fill in the form, but you can make shit up.
...you guys are going to make howard think hes got subscribers. he doesnt know the petition is signed by everybody listening on s*******t.
Fake?! You mean I'm sitting here with the car running and my binoculars are aimed at the wrong house? Dammit.
Didn't Bank of America back off ATM fees after their customers started an online petition? Only successful one I can think of.
No. They dropped fees because several Congressmen talked to them and threatened legislation. White House has been running petitions for years and nothing was accomplished by them. If you want change, nothing beats calling & voting with your POCKETBOOK. Want BOR back? Call up Sirius and tell them you're canceling until they bring it back. But how many people here still have Sirius? And these online petitions are just slacktivism: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slacktivism
Oh absolutely, the petitions are designed to make you feel like you're doing something, but sometimes they have an effect. I remember signing one for a teenager whose picture was banned from his school yearbook because he was waving a rainbow flag in it. He got thousands of signatures and a lot of attention AND he got in the yearbook.
This is tough ... I hate Jason and Ted with a passion, so the cancellation was nice in a way. But I did enjoy the show ... Though they had no balls when callers spoke negatively about wiggy
