Why is every sportscaster afraid to call Peyton what he is now - the best "game manager" QB in the NFL.

Peyton watches the running game, #1 defense and on occasion throws some safe short passes so Denver can win.

He will go out in a blaze of mediocrity. Panthers 35 - Denver 13

As someone who lived in Denver for a while and went to quite a few Broncos games, I hope the Super Bowl does not turn into:

After seeing the Panthers the past 2 weeks, I seriously think it could be worse than when Peyton lost to the Seahawks.

Peyton has to some way win this game. He will go down as a great regular season QB, but a bad post season QB. He wins this game he could change that a bit, I think.

Denver will win. I expect a close game, with a score of about 24-20. Denver won't get beat as bad as they did to Seattle because: 1. the game isn't going to be played in the snow, it's in CA. 2. Denver in 2013 was all offense and had a poor defense. This Denver team is more like the 2000 Ravens. Brady had to wait until New England's defense got respectable again before they won another one.

If the Broncos play that game on the road they lose
If the game went to overtime they lose

They won but Manning was mediocre at best, Denvers defense won. In fact he did nothing the entire second half

Now I have to listen to two weeks of Manning talk, damn it

Carolina is gonna win this like 45-17, it will be over by halftime. They probably would of beat the Patriots too but they are gonna destroy the Broncos

Keep doubting the forehead. He knows this is his last chance and will leave it all out there.

Big time Broncos fan here, and I agree. Manning has become this guy. By all means another blow out could happen, but I wouldn't bet on it. Lots of players here from 2013, and they didn't like the taste of being blown out. If I'm Manning, I started shooting up the steroids right after yesterday's game. I'd be on every performance enhancing substance I could find. He won't get caught. And even if he did, who cares? It would be his last game. What are they going to do, ban him for a season?

He is still better than Dilfer. I think he got some more nerve damage atrophying that throwing arm. If they get down by 3 scores, they gonna have to go to Brock, to bring the deep pass back into the game.

Ol' Sixhead will not go out losing another Super Bowl. With that Denver defense keeping Cam in check, they have a fighting chance. They pass rushed 3 guys against the Pats O-Line!

    Denver 23
    Panthers 17

I really want the Bronco's to win. Peyton wins, then he can retire with some dignity.

His weak arm has caused him to actually overthrow his receivers on deep routes. He has no touch anymore. He has to give his all to heave the ball 20 yards. Where Manning is still golden is that he can read defenses and make the right decisions. That's where Osweiller's inexperience hurts, otherwise, I think he should be starting. Manning had something like 150 net yards passing yesterday. That's not going to win the Super Bowl vs Carolina. It worked for Elway vs GB, but only because Davis ran amok. There is no running game like that on this team.

I've noticed a flaw in Denver's defense. They don't tackle well in open space. Pittsburgh drove me nuts. 10 yard completions were going for 30 yards. Newton is a mobile QB. Who have they faced like that this season? No one. I worry that he will break containment and wreak havoc. I hope not, but that's my feeling.

I trust Wade Phillps to set up a plan to stop Cam. He'll probably have a spy to watch Cam but that boy is so big it could be a problem
