Thursday night I went to turn my phone on and it was dead. Charged, but dead. Couldn't even use the power button.
The next day I went to the Verizon store and the guy there couldn't get it to power up, reboot or anything. Said it was toast.

So after fucking around with a loaner (which didn't pan out) I called and ordered a new phone today (which also renewed my contract).

THEN when I got home, for some unknown reason I hit the power button on the phone and it starts right up.

So what I wanna know is has this ever happened to anyone? I called Verizon and asked and he said yes he's heard of it happening and usually it's an isolated incident.

I really can't afford the $200 for a new phone right now so if this one's gonna be okay I'll cancel the order... BUT I don't wanna cancel the order and have this phone keep giving me shit.

He said he'll call me in a couple days and if the phone's still ok I can cancel the order without breaking the new contract.

It happened to my phone once. I pulled the battery and let it sit for a minute, started over and it was good to go. That was over a year ago I think.

    I have this one:

Dev, if it's an intermittent problem like that it will probably reoccur and at the worst times. Get the new phone and be done with the issue.

    Yea, a Droid
    Yes, they're all accounted for.
That was the first thing I tried. Didn't work. The guy at the store did it too.

    Fucking weird.

Too many pics of Ali on your phone.
Unload them here to avoid further problems.

That's what my boy Joey said. But then the guy at Verizon said 9 times out of 10 it's a once-and-done glitch with Droids.
Will this help my phone work better?

Cellphones are like hookers. When one dies just get rid of it and don't think about it again.

I had an issue with the battery in one of old phones. Would go from full charge to totally dead within an hour. Sprint replaced the Batt for free.

The the guy at Version try to put a new battery in the phone?
