I spotted this picture on the Instagram account of Magnet Theater, "a performance space and training ground for the best and brightest comedic talent in New York City." Their site boasts that they can teach anyone to improvise.

It sure looks a lot like Comedy Efficiency Expert Marci Turk:

Magnet Theater's Instagram photo is currently marked as 111 weeks old, which would date it to January 2014.

Eight months later, in September of 2014, the Magnet Theater visited the back office of the Stern Show to do training and "bonding" exercises with Howard's staff, who'd all worked together for 10 years or so --save for Marci, who was hired as Chief Operating Officer of the Stern brand in 2013. After the day of team improv-ing, Howard mentioned Magnet Theater by name on the air and said what a wonderful job they did. Although Howard wasn't there himself (of course not -- nor was Robin), he said Scott the Engineer did a terrible job when it was his turn to act in front of his coworkers. Benjy disagreed, saying he brought a lot of energy, and was great at improv. "It was a really great day," Benjy added.

After Howard thanked the Magnet Theater once again, Robin asked if the company voluntarily offered the Stern Show these improv exercises.

Howard: "Yeah, we had heard that they sometimes will work with groups ... even for other kinds of business, not just show business." Howard then thanked Magnet Theater again:

Howard made it sound like his team wasn't very familiar with the Magnet Theater, and that this day of improv-driven bonding just kind of happened. Perhaps he wasn't aware that his Chief Operating Officer has appeared as a performer in Magnet Theater improv classes. Marci's credits include:

Level 1: The Principles of Improv

    Level 1: Musical Improv

And Marci was still performing with Magnet Theater as recently as March 2015.

Looking at the kind of stuff Magnet Theater does, I take back all my comments about Marci not knowing comedy!

With talent like that teaching the HSS staff comedy techniques, it's no wonder the show is so great these days  Howard has really fucking lost it!

I bet she's quick with a joke to cheer up some one that has just lost their job now that she's had that training.

I know, it's really surreal that the show and Howard have taken such a drastic turn. Seriously, why fix something that wasn't broke? I can understand that Howard is older now and decided to stop some of the more juvenile bits, but I guess Howard can't let go of his belief that he's always been destined to be a great talk show host.

Every mother fucking executive in showbiz (or the lowest of levels) has some stupid improv class background because they didn't have the goods or balls to do actual stand up.

Most broads like Marci are these corny and lame SNL groupie chicks - that think they'll cute their way onto the show and be the next Tina Fey or Cheri Oteri.

Improv groups now are the ADHD 20/30 wayward hipster equivalent to backpacking in Europe to find themselves.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but those Improv shows are the biggest unfunny garbage around.
when ever I did random channel surfing and landed on "Whose Line Is It Anyways". I couldn't believe how unfunny this show was but how popular it was.
I remember in early 2000s from a True Life a episode. There was a high school girl who wanted to be a comedian and a improv show. I wanted to kill my self
Also, on a episode of BBC's Almost Royal, there was a improve show bit. MOThER)@)@$&@(&(@($@^^

i'm sorry , these improve shows are serial killer crazy,, these shows should be used as torture methods at GITMO, I'm sure it would drive anybody insane

This might be Marci as well, in the light gray sweater. Taken two weeks before the first shot I posted:

And the ones you listed are probably the "best" examples of improv. Try sitting through a high school troupe's. I always felt that the only positive that can sometimes be associated with improv is when it is over and you are relieved that it was not even worse than it was.

That podcast. A very long and very serious discussion on the art of comedic improvisation.

by the way, if Marci Turk is so funny, why isn't she on the air?

Why would the Howard Stern show, known for being a comedy show, hide a comedic genesis like Marci Turk?

    WTF!!!!
