    This is unfuckingbelievable!
Found this on wired.com. Something coming out called 3-Sweep. This shit is off the goddamn hook.
Can it be this easy extracting images from a still image, manipulate them and leave the background intact??

And as Chen explains, making the 3-D experts irrelevant was never the point. “Our biggest goal is still to help novice users to do this,” he explains. For the team, led by Daniel Cohen-Or, the biggest challenge wasn’t necessarily working out all the algorithmic magic behind the model-making, but rather giving lay users an easy way to harness it. “It took us some time to figure out how to make a very convenient user interface to generate this stuff,” Chen says.

    Check this shit out! :ujerk:

I see life-like hooves clopping in BeethO's animated gif future, probably with a feed bag strapped. :yay:

This is completely off the hook. I've watched photoshop plugins and other apps for years but this is something completely different.
    And I WANT it! :cmon:

My old roomate (and really good friend) is a game developer - he mostly does character design. This will make his life so much easier.

the above image has been circulating for a awhile, not sure of the original artist. but with that technology, the possibilities appear endless.

The speed that technology is advancing is just insane.

Remember when you could buy a kickass new stereo and it would be "state of the art" for like 2-3 years?

Oh it will be once it's out there! And you have this as my word and bond.
I'm fully prepared to pay the exact same price as I did for Photoshop. :grad:

I swear. When I watched the video I was, "Oh my god. Ohh... my... gawwwd..."
It just fills in the backgrounds when you take it out? It fucking IMAGINES parts of the still image not shown?
    This is just insane.

This is what started it. I wanted to put Robin's head in this scene from Faces of Death.:jj:

I needed 360 degree shots of her melon. I could never get the hair done so I just gave up. Now that she's really bald I guess I could finish it.

The program let you animate and change facial expressions like a digital puppet.

That's a fucking great job! 3D modeling is fun. I've fucked with it a little bit but nowhere near the extent you have.
This video gets me excited just to think about what's coming!

The 3-Sweep software has been developed by a team of researchers
from the Interdisciplinary Centre in Israel and Tel Aviv University.
