I'll dabble with just about any program, but I've always got Photoshop Elements as my go-to. I've had several versions going back to the 3rd one. I'm just comfortable with it.

Some older versions of photoshop were free awhile back. Not sure if that's still true.

Like Dawg said, Gimp can do practically everything photoshop can, and what it can't do you probably won't use.

I don't mean that rudely. I just mean for the photoshop stuff we do here for laughs you only need the most basic of tools.

I've used photoshop for ten plus years and I'm pretty sure I use about 8% of it's tools. :jj:

nice.. I've got gimp, got an old version of PS, but my go to is a tried and true, intuitive, easy to use version of Paintshop Pro with the integrated Animation Shop.

Exactly. I use the stripped-down Elements and I probably don't use much more than that.

Gimp has it's quirks. But it is a great free program. Plenty of tutorials on you tube.

I also use paint shop pro, $70 on sale. But you can't do gifs.

We would LOVE more photoshoppers around here! :)
