Way to go Howard! Twofer' Tuesday!
Titanic not unsinkable after all!
Who's that Robin?
Ok, who's Taylor?
Howard killed his mom
3:30 he unleashes his callers on her..
Dana never appeared on the show- The Tapes Team
Mr. Evolved certainly won't apologize for that compassionate interview.
I bash Howard as much as the next guy but he can't be held responsible for her death. She was fucked up.
On a personal note I'm so glad I've never had to deal with suicide. No one I've even come close to caring about has done themselves in. I can't imagine the heartbreak and rage from those left behind.
Clearly Dana's last appearance before she died was Howard'd crew in the back calling in as fake callers... Howard never got nailed for doing that in this interview.
I'd have to disagree with him getting nailed for it. Assuming she never did Howard that day what would have pushed her over the edge next? Foreclosure on her condo? Not making a car payment? As much as a skunk as he is now we can't give him God like powers. She couldn't cope with life and did herself in.
It may be heartless but I kind of giggled like Jackie when she was found the next day.
Of course he can't be 'held responsible'. He certainly didn't help though.
The new evolved Howard wouldn't help either...he'd just ignore her and not have her on.
Who killed Dana Plato? Why and what's the reason for??
“Not me,” says his the radio star
Driven in his luxury car.
“It’s hard to say, it’s hard to tell
I always thought that she was well
It’s too bad for her spouse an’ kids she’s dead
But if she was sick, she should’ve said
It wasn’t me that made her fall
No, you can’t blame me at all”
Not sure why this four-year-old story is being posted now. But I remember the thing with Dana very well....she was a guest on Howard's show on a Friday claiming to be clean and sober, yet sounded high as a kite, with that weird coke/meth style of frantic speaking. Stern opened up the phones and some callers were incredibly cruel to her...not just calling her a liar but basically a worthless piece of shit. She tried to keep the superficial "I'm sober and happy" act up but you could tell the callers really got to her (wonder if any were planted?). Then, that weekend, I heard on the news that she was dead of suicide or overdose. But what I remember best: There was almost NO mention of it the following Monday other than an EXTREMELY brief mention of it on Robin's news.
Wow, a lot of posts since I started writing the above one, sorry for any repetition.
He killed himself again?
It sucks. Friend from grammar and high school--really good guy who I remained friends with till his death. You feel guilty, "what should I have done differently", etc. You hear clues beforehand but they become so frequent it becomes common and you don't realize the urgency and try to change the subject to something more cheerful thinking that will help. Afterwards, you go back and forth from guilty to angry to sad to angry again...but mostly just sad.
I wasn't implying at all that it was his fault. She was clearly a mess and he didn't back off whatsoever, just continued the pile-on, which was not necessary in the least.
This should be in the "reasons to hate Howard" thread
